Ready for a windy day and some testing.
Two Appletree kitesurfboards (Whiteline, not custom):
- Malus Domestica 5'1
- Klokhouse Noseless 5'4
Even at mere 5'1, smallest model, the Malus turned out to be big enough for me (I'm 86kg 190cm), at least in partly powered conditions.
The only session I have had with this board showed that it turned really well with its serious channels, good upwind, but the waves wasn't very rideable then.
Surprisingly easy to kick and grab (for someone, I certainly didn't catch all the time), I'm hoping to finally approach strapless freestyle a little.
Tested with Futures Alpha thruster fins in large, will try the Pancho Control large nex time to see if upwing can be even better on mediocre days at the home spot.
The Klokhouse Noseless (kite mostly version of their Klokhouse surf and kite board) has not been wet yet, will test in waves with the Futures Legacy R8 fins.
Bought the Malus as a display model, maybe a year old. Notice the now slightly grey resin color, compared to the new Klokhouse. (we have to live with it, it's eco)
